I was a little apprehensive about ordering this rug. Only because in the photo the raised areas looked like they might not be comfortable to stand on. I liked it a lot so thought it was worth a try. It is incredibly soft and comfortable to stand on. While the embellishments stand out, they are very soft. Highly recommend it!This rug came just as pictured. There were no imperfections and I haven't noticed any shedding. I have not cleaned it yet but from what I can tell, the material should not shed. For the size I purchased, I think it is priced correctly.
