OK so I got this around on the beginning of December as I knew I was having holiday visitors. I love the rug it's a different size than I would normally buy and I thought it was perfect for the busy tile. Looked at every store imaginable as I usually buy everything on Amazon but because this was a really unique and different size I needed to look at a lot of places. I read that other people said the same thing about the corners not staying down flat.I have actually had it turned upside down with heavy weight on that one side that the corners just don't seem to want to lie flat… This has helped immensely although still as you can see by the pictures it is not completely flat I did purchase some of that special tape for rugs( I will see if I can add an additional picture) purchased at Lowe's or Home Depot to keep that side down as you can tell from the picture I have an actually done that yet. On my to do list LOL but the rug itself is amazing. Weight It was good. Made very well. A light sweep or a light vacuum is all you would need to clean it ( I actually just shake mine out As it is an extremely manageable size and I am in my 50s) I have bought numerous rugs from the same company in different styles and I have always had good results. I think if you're hesitating give it a try the tape is cheap and other than that we've got something that looks like it's going to stay in good shape especially for a high traffic area like a front foyer I got nothing for writing this but I know how much truthful reviews help me in my decision making. And let's be honest we can tell which ones are truthful for the most part. And hence the reason why my family and myself have gone to the point especially over the past year although we have been ordering with Amazon and through Amazon prime for years and years now probably since inception! In the last year or two we have started buying absolutely everything from Amazon including everything from Pats to even started buying our clothes and shoes… The main reason? The return policy! The ease with returning is unbelievable even large items… Make sure you check out third seller return Policies I must have UPS pull up to my house and drop off at least one package at least five days a week… And then one of the things that keeps me coming back is just how easy it is to drop off without a label that UPS they printed up right there you're in and out so why not try it why not have brought right to your front door instead of searching through local places… Instead of having something that afternoon and that's if you can possibly find something you'll have it at your front door In most cases in a day or most likely two days. And if it's not gonna come in that time. It'll say in big letters/numbers there is no searching around Trying to figure out the "truth" OK I'm starting to ramble but I can't say enough about Amazon… I honestly don't know what we would do without it… Great rug for a great price I will keep you updated three and six months in a year down the line to let you know how it's holding upDelivered right to my front door in two days. And that might not sound like a big deal to you if you live in Florida but I live in upstate New York and I am looking out my window right now at about 3 feet of snow… To have heavy cat litter brought right to my front door when this year alone I have had three surgeries on my hand, is just unbelievable:-)It’s a rough materials expected. Straw. RUG IS THICK. Make sure you have clearance if you are using as a runner in-front of your door. I am concerned more straw might rip up in the future. Time will tell. Nice rugs but they may be problematic to clean and not last. I WOULD SAY BUY THE WARRANTY BC IT SEEMS THE STRAW WILL COME LOOSE BEFORE YOU NEED TO CLEAN THE RUG. YOU WILL HAVE A NEW RUG EVERY YEAR.ESP if you are in a high traffic house. The only complaint I have is in the center of the rug it's very noticeable where they connect the ends(sew them together) there is a lump there. What can be done about that. I don't have pics of it but i will send you some. Hope you will get back to me. Thank you, RosemaryBought this rug for my entry and I like the way it looks. But it is not washable and it is on the rough side which I don’t mind because I like the look of the texture but keep that in mind when purchasing.I've read the reviews on this rug so I see that a lot of folks have been disappointed. I bought it and was delighted, but I think the difference is that I was very aware of what I was buying and not everyone is. So, before you buy, here's some info on this rug and those like it. (Also, for those who can't get it to uncurl, the trick is to roll it back up the opposite way. The natural fibers will overwrite the fiber's memory quicker.)I have a number of sisal and seagrass rugs, including everything from custom jobs for my stairs and kitchen to this one from Amazon that I had zero familiarity with other than background on material and weave. Lots of folks think all seagrass is the same or that sisal is the same as this, but none of that is true. This particular rug is woven into a less tight and more textured pattern, using a sturdy seagrass that takes a beating, but isn't soft on the feet. It's best used in places where wear needs to be hidden, but comfort on tender bare feet isn't a must. It's not for places where people wear skinny high heels either.I got this to replace one in my kitchen, which has hardwood floors, in a high traffic area for the dog as well as people. For that purpose, it's perfect. The variations in color make any dribbles from glasses or dog drool invisible. The texture gives it stability for my dog as he races madly for dinner time, completely freaking out because there's food involved. It's also great because it's winter and people are walking around in socks and this gives some protection from slips. So, I would say this is perfect for that.If you're looking for a flatter weave with less texture against the feet, then you might want a boucle sisal and not a seagrass like this one, though those also stain far more easily. Also those are more pricey, if that's a consideration. A sisal in a plain, tight weave of the exact same size with the exact same color border cost 2.3 times as much as this last year, so that's something to consider. It was good quality, yes, but it's more expensive in general than looser seagrass.I love this rug…but…The rug slips all around on tile floor. I put a grip pad underneath it and it still slides. I don’t like to put rug tape bc it destroys rugs and makes floors sticky. I have to say walking barefoot on this rug feels great on your feet…and …it has that nice scent of seagrass.Love the natural product, feels as if bottom of my feet is being massaged, not soft and not hard. Will never think of seagreass as soft, it's just not in the nature, but these are well woven. They look nice and protect the floor. Defines the space. These mats are rustic, like a basket weave straw with a dark beige binding, I ordered three and one had a large hole at one end, but as I bought the third to make matching door mats for the other two, and so was going to cut it anyway, I was not so bothered, but roll out and check when you receive yours incase you get the same trouble, this is why I only gave them 3 stars.I super love this rug.It looks amazing in my room.Had to put some weights on the end of the rug for a while as it was rolled up.Plus I love the smell of sea grass. It give a sense of freshness in my home.I like this floor covering ~ the cat doesn't as it's a bit rough for her feet ~ chin up puss!It s a great little rug and perfect size. Service and arrival all good I am just a little disappointed in the thickness of the weave as I can see the backing through it in a couple of places.Arrived early, but quality not vary good I had to mend some of the weaves
