We put this by our sink in our kitchen. You'll definitely need to purchase some anti-slide stuff for under neath. It's July, and we've had this since December. It's fraying a bit at the corners, and takes a while before it'll lay all the way flat (after been rolled up or hanging over something to dry out). Overall, it's good for the price. I'd buy another one once this one is no longer good. I'm one to switch out the style of my rugs by the time they go bad anyways...so if you like to change up your rugs every year or so, this is a great option for the price.I love the rug and the nice degree of thickness, Enough to be soft and easy o the feet, yet thin enough to be able to handle. The colors are perfect for what I wanted in my family room where I needed a black accent. The only negative is that after five or six days I am still not able to get it totally flat. I weighted the corners with weights and/or furniture and that worked quite well but there are three or four "ripples" that, so far, I have not been able to totally flatten. I am going to try steam cleaning and see if that does the trick.Very attractive for the price. Since I wanted this rug for in front of the kitchen sink, I didn't want to lay out a lot of money for something that takes a lot of abuse! I will spray it with a stain fighter and wipe it off till that doesn't do it anymore. After that I will try and toss it in the washer. ( I have done this for serveral other rugs, some make, some don't) I'll repost when I get to that point and let you know how it holds up to all the torture I inflict on my rugsWe bought this in the burgundy/green/black/beige 8x11 and another burgundy/green rug from the same seller. We were deliberately looking for something inexpensive and relatively disposable in a couple years when the kids destroy it, and that's pretty much what we got. They're nothing fantastic -- thin and not very densely woven, though those aren't a problem for us in the particular contexts. Colors are good and true to image, but the designs are not very crisp due to the low density. We have been happier with the quality of some of the other similarly-priced rugs we've bought -- we have a new house and have bought about 10 rugs lately from Amazon and Overstock. If I had to do it over again, I would buy the others instead of this.I needed a large rug for my great room and this was perfect. It was light enough to move around but soft and cushy under foot. It was all curled up but nothing a few heavy items placed on edges didn't resolve. The color was beautiful and subtle. I read a review saying it was bright red. It is not. More like a dark wine/ cabernet look which contrasted nicely with the creams, tans, browns and blacks. It was a very good piece for the price. It didn't even have a strong smell. My last rug had to be aired before it could be used because of strong scents.I use these to protect the carpeting around areas where I may sit. They take the digging, drinking, and dirt where the carpet is protected. I've seen that shipping has jumped a bit, so I'll probably not order any for a while. But, I hope to order them at a lower price.I like it, but it came all wrinkled so I ironed it to take out the rinkles. The heat of the iron melted the pigment int he rug and it melted. Oh well! This is a nice looking rug. It is thin, so if you are looking for a high pile, plush rug, keep Looking. It is exactly what I was looking for- a pretty and inexpensive rug to place under my bed. I had expectations in line with the price point and I'm satisfied.
